CATCHING UP WITH SHOEGAZE : MIXTAPE REPOST
NOTE: This is a re-post of a mixtape that i posted back in early August. I was asked a couple of times recently if i’d done one of these, and for some reason, my download links had went to hell, so this is just a repost (new image as well) of an older post. Then again, I didn’t have many of you as followers then so this might be new to a bunch of you. Enjoy!
Being a big fan of college radio in the 90’s, I gravitated toward the big dreamy sounds of bands like Ride, My Bloody Valentine, and Cocteau Twins. That love never really went away, though most of those bands did. As a little bit of revisiting and exploring of a beloved genre, here’s a little mix of songs from bands that were the inspiration for, inspired by, or the epitome of the music scene generally referred to as shoegaze.
